Arion Technologies - Who Are We?

Arion Technologies was founded in 1988 providing audio and video distribution products and services for financial trading floors. Arion’s founder, Denis Sheehy, formerly Vice President and General Manager of Micrognosis, helped pioneer trading floor video switching, distribution, and display technology.

As technology evolved Arion became a leader developing remote video applications.  Rather than to sell directly into the marketplace, Arion became a private label manufacturer.  Products such as VideoNet™ were designed, produced, private labeled and sold under several names. VideoNet™ transports VGA video to remotely located monitors at distances of up to 1000 feet using Category 5 UTP wiring.

The advent of cable television news services created a need for a simple inexpensive CATV distribution system. VueMax™ provides effective, economical distribution of CATV or RF signals to monitors or displays located up to 1000 feet from the transmitter, again using Category 5, 5e, or 6 UTP wiring. This economical method of distributing CATV and RF signals was also private labeled.

Arion started branding its name and products in 2001.  Direct sales began shortly after to an accepting marketplace.  As the Arion name and its products became familiar to consultants, integrators and dealers, Arion found the need to fulfill their requirements for more highly sophisticated products.  Thus, the advent of U.S.C.I.T.^™ Universal Structured Cable Integrated Technology and SAVI^™ which transports UXGA video and two channels of audio over any category wire, 5, 5e or 6.

Arion products are designed and assembled in our production facility in Brookfield, Connecticut. Brookfield is located in the foothills of the Berkshire Hills near the shores of beautiful Candlewood Lake. Our position on the I-84 corridor allows convenient access to both New York City and Boston.

As Greek mythology suggests, Arion, the poet and singer, was saved
from drowning by a dolphin that carried Arion to eternal life.
